Bric King attended the National Brick Event show in York last Sunday and what a great day it was. From the doors opening at 10am there was a constant stream of people throughout the day and for the first 2 or 3 hours there was a long queue outside and around the car park to get in to the show, it was that busy. Probably all the dad’s purposefully arranging the day out as a hint at what they wanted for Fathers Day 😂😂😂 The queue’s eventually died down but the crowds in the building stayed and only really quietened down around 4:00pm.

As usual Bric King had a great day out with our stand, we sold a nice amount from our selection of rare and retired sets and also had an enjoyable day meeting more new people. Our friends from Synergy Cosplay, and The Empire, Shadow and Storm The Stormtroopers were in attendance again patrolling the show and posing for photos with everyone they could along with raising money for the charity partner of Synergy Cosplay, Autism Anglia, and will no doubt have raised another nice amount of money for that worthy cause on the day. This time they brought their boss, Lord Vader himself was also in attendance, keeping a watchful eye over the event and the crowds for anyone from the Rebel Alliance! You can follow The Adventures of Shadow and Storm on Instagram by clicking here. You can also follow the whereabouts of Lord Vader on his Instagram page, yes he does have one 🤷🏻‍♂️, by clicking here Please do give them a follow and see what they are up to 👍🏻

We also had the pleasure of meeting Richard from The Cosmos Corner at this event with his interactive display of a whole range of Lego sets for kids, of all ages 😂, to play with, build with, have their photos took with or maybe even for them just to see as a lot of them are quite impressive sets! He was the busiest man at the show, constantly surrounded by people and kids wanting to look, play with and have their photos taken with a set and Richard had the time for each and every one of them and everyone left happy 👍🏻 Give Richard at The Cosmos Corner a follow on Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter) and TikTok (just search The Cosmos Corner and you will find him👌🏻) and learn more about the fabulous work he does across a whole range of organisations and charities.

Also on display was the huge Elm Zoo, an entire Lego zoo full of animals and different areas, it’s just like walking through a real life zoo! There’s every animal you’d expect to see in a real zoo, plus a couple that you wouldn’t 😂 It’s a huge display that is still growing and getting bigger, there can’t be many more animals to house! Pop over to Instagram and follow the progress on this build by clicking here

A really enjoyable and fun day at another National Brick Events show, just as we’d expect, and now we can’t wait for the next! The next show will be in Bedford on Sunday 30th June and if you would like more information on this and other National Brick Events shows this can be found on their ticketing website by clicking here

So hopefully we see you at one of these events soon, pop by and say hello 👋🏻
